Is there no way to get cheaper Car Insurance?

I just turned 18 and I wanted to know if there was a way I could get cheap car insurance. Or maybe Would it be possible for my mother to put a car under her name and I just drive it would that make it cheaper.

I am 22 and I have always used Cheap Insurance Locator - they say they specialise in car insurance for young people. They seem to always be able to beat quotes from other comparison sites, well they do for me anyway. Hope that helps.
Every company will have different rates based on their target market (they won’t tell you who is their target market) and how profitable they were the last few years, and a million factors like driving experience, where you live, distance you drive, type of car, how it’s used, driving history, etc.
If you can be added to your Mom’s policy that should bring down the cost as you’ll get the multi-car discount.
If you’re a full time student with a B average or better, you should qualify for a good student discount.
You should get a discount if there’s any sort of alarm on your car.
